Nicholas Edward Foles is an American football quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Arizona and was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He has also played for the St. Louis Rams and Kansas City Chiefs.

Nick Foles suffers broken collarbone in Jaguars debut

Quarterback Nick Foles’s debut for the Jacksonville Jaguars did not exactly go as scripted. Foles, the former Super Bowl MVP for the Philadelphia Eagles who signed with Jacksonville as a free agent in the offseason, exited Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs after suffering a broken left clavicle.

Coach Doug Marrone told reporters after the game that he did not have an immediate timetable for Foles’s return. But the Jaguars are looking at Foles being sidelined for an extended period. Foles told reporters that he’s scheduled to undergo surgery Monday and said: “It’s not the way you want to start your time here.”Foles was hurt when he absorbed a hit while delivering his first touchdown pass for the Jaguars, a 35-yard strike to D.J. Chark in the first quarter. The Jaguars ruled Foles out for the remainder of the game soon after he was taken to the locker room to be examined by the team’s medical staff. He later returned to the sideline with his left arm in a sling and an ice pack on his left shoulder.
