Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress and producer who mainly works in Hindi language films. She is one of the highest-paid actresses in India. Deepika made her Bollywood debut in the film "Om Shanti Om" alongside Shah Rukh Khan in 2007. Since then she is entertaining her fans with her exceptional acting skills. Her most acclaimed films are Love Aaj Kal (2009), Cocktail (2012), Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), Chennai Express (2013), Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013), Bajirao Mastani (2015), Piki (2015) and Padmaavat (2018).

Deepika Padukone was born on January 5, 1986. Her birthplace is Copenhagen, Denmark but her family moved to Bangalore, India when Deepika was just a year old. She was born in a Saraswat Brahmin family to a Konkani-speaking family. Her father, Prakash Padukone is a former Indian badminton player who was ranked world no. 1 in 1980 and is even the first Indian to with the All England Open Badminton Championships. He was awarded the Arjuna Award in 1972 and the Padma Shri in 1982 for his remarkable sports by the Government of India. Her mother Ujjala is a travel agent. She has a younger sister named Anisha Padukone who is a professional Indian golfer.
