Franck Yannick Kessie professionally as Franck Kessie is an Ivorian professional football player. He plays for La Liga club Barcelona and the Ivory Costa national team. His playing position is a central midfielder. 

Franck Kessie started playing football for the youth team of Stella Club in 2010. In 2014, he was promoted to the first team. On 29 January 2015, he signed a three-year contract with Serie A club Atalanta where he was assigned to the club's Primavera squad upon his arrival and contributed with seven appearances for the side. On 26 August 2015, he joined Cesena in Serie B on a one-year loan deal where he made 37 appearances for the club, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists in all the competitions. On 2 June 2017, he joined fellow Serie A side AC Milan on a two-year loan deal with the obligation to buy. On 27 July 2017, he made his Milan debut in a match against CS U Craiova, helping Milan to win the first leg of the Europa League qualification. At AC Milan, he made 223 appearances and scored 37 goals in all the competitions as AC Milan won the 2021-22 Serie A. On 4 July 2022, he joined La Liga club Barcelona on a 4-year deal until 30 June 2026 on a free transfer. 


On the international level, Franck Kessie has represented Ivory Coast at various age levels. He has represented Ivory Coast at U17, U20, and the senior level. He made his international team debut for Ivory Coast on 6 September 2014 in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualification. On 4 January 2017, he was included in Ivory Coast's 23-man squad ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, starting in all matches as his side was knocked out in the group stage. At the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, he finished as the joint-top assist provider of the tournament, alongside Ismael Bennacer, with three assists as his team was eliminated in the quarter-finals by eventual champions Algeria, after losing 4-5 on penalties on 11 July 2019. In January 2022, he was included in Ivory Coast’s squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations where he played all the matches as his side was eliminated in the round of 16 by Egypt, after losing 4-5 on penalties on 26 January 2022.
