Luke Letlow Biography
Luke Joshua Letlow, popularly known as Luke Letlow was an American politician. He was a congressman-elect representative from Louisiana. In December 2020, he was elected to the United States House of Representatives for Louisiana's 5th congressional district. Tragically, the US Rep died after contracting COVID-19 in December 2020. He was due to take his office in January 2021. He previously served as chief of staff to retiring Representative Ralph Abraham. His party is the Republican Party.
Congressman-elect Luke Letlow was born on 6 December 1979. His birth name is Luke Joshua Letlow. His birth place is in Monroe, Louisiana in the United States. He holds an American nationality. His hometown is in the rural unincorporated community of Start, west of Monroe. He belonged to white ethnicity and his religion was Christianity. He was born to a father Johnny Letlow and a mother, Dianne Letlow. He was the youngest son.

Regarding his educational background, he attended Ouachita Christian High School. After graduating from high school, he attended Louisiana Tech University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in computer information systems from Louisiana Tech University in 2003. He served as chairman of the Louisiana Tech College Republicans in 2001. He was also the Lousiana Federation of College Republicans in 2002.
Letlow stood at a tall height. He had a balanced body weight and average body build. His eye color was hazel and his hair color was dark brown. His sexual orientation was straight.

Luke Letlow Republican
- While a student at Louisiana Tech, Letlow interned for John Cooksey in 2001. Cooksey represented Louisiana's 5th congressional district in the US House of Representatives.
- After college, he worked for Bobby Jindal during Jindal's tenure in the US House of Representatives for Louisiana's 1st congressional district. Letlow was Jindal's congressional district director from 2005 to 2008.
- During Jindal's first term as Governor of Louisiana, Letlow served as the director of intergovernmental affairs from 2008 to 2010.
- He then worked as director of government and community affairs for an energy company based in Denver, QEP Resources.
- During Ralph Abraham's election campaign for Louisiana's 5th congressional district in 2014, Letlow worked as Abraham's campaign manager.
- During Abraham's three-term tenure, he served as Abraham's chief of staff.
- Abraham decided not to seek reelection in 2020. Letlow then announced his candidacy for the US House of Representatives for Louisiana's 5th congressional district on 9 March 2020. Abraham endorsed Letlow.
- He finished first in the nonpartisan primary, winning 33.1% of the total votes.
- Letlow won the general election with a 62% vote on 5 December 2020. He defeated Lance Harris who received 38% votes.
- However, on 29 December 2020, he died before taking office.
- He was scheduled to assume office on 3 January 2021.

Congressman-elect Luke Letlow was a married man. He was married to Julia Barnhill. They tied a knot to each other in 2013. The couple has two children together. They lived in Start, Louisiana.
Luke Letlow Death
Congressman-elect Luke Letlow announced on 18 December 2020 that he tested positive for the COVID-19. He was admitted to a hospital in Monroe. He was transferred to the ICU of Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, Louisiana on 23 December after his condition deteriorated even worse. He died from COVID-19 complications on 29 December 2020. He died at the age of 41.
