Alexandra Virina Scott, a British former professional footballer who is excellently known as Alex Scott. She is famous for playing as a right-back for Arsenal in the FA WSL. She made 140 appearances for the England national team and represented Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics. She was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2019 whereas she is also a pundit for BBC Sport and Sky Sports as of 2019. She became well known to a wider audience when she covered the 2018 FIFA World Cup, becoming the first female football pundit at a World Cup for the BBC. Scott was one of the hosts for the 2020 BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards in December 2020. Additionally, she has been named as the new host of the BBC's Football Focus, becoming the show's first permanent female host in its 47-year history.
