André Onana is a Cameroonian professional football player. He plays for Serie A club Inter Milan and the Cameroon national team. His playing position is a goalkeeper.
He started playing football for the youth academy of Samuel Eto’o Academy. In 2010, he joined the youth team of Barcelona and played until 2015. In 2015, he moved to Dutch club Ajax and went on to win three Eredivisie (in 2018-19, 2020-21, and 2021-22), two KNVB Cup (in 2018-19 and 2020-21), and one Johan Cruyff Shield (in 2019). In January 2022, he was linked with a transfer to Italian club Inter Milan. In May 2022, he announced that was leaving Ajax. On 1 July 2022, he officially joined Serie A club Inter Milan on a free transfer.
On the international level, André Onana has represented Cameroon at various age levels. He has represented Cameroon at the senior level. In May 2016, he was named in Cameroon's squad for a friendly against France. He made his senior international team debut for Cameroon on 6 September 2016. He was part of the Cameroon squad that finished in third place in the 2021 African Cup of Nations. Since his debut, he has obtained over 25 caps for Cameroon.
