It follows a secret force that used illusion and sleight of hand to fool the Nazis in 1944, including inflatable tanks and sound effects, and trick them into deploying forces in the wrong places. Affleck confirmed earlier this year that he would not be returning as Batman, though admitted he was "excited" to see director Matt Reeves' vision of standalone movie The Batman come to life without him. Speaking a bit later about why he quit, the actor explained: "I tried to direct a version of it and worked with a really good screenwriter, but just couldn't come up with a version-I couldn't crack it.
