A Japanese female professional wrestler was named for Hana Kimura. She wrestled for the women's professional wrestling promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom. A second-generation wrestler, she was the daughter of former professional wrestler Kyoko Kimura. She debuted for Wrestle-1 on 30th March 2016, against classmate Reika Saiki in a losing effort. She captured her first title, the JWP Junior Championship, by defeating Yako Fujigasaki in a tournament final. She joined Terrace House in September 2019, appearing on the show until her death which later became a big hit when it was picked up by Netflix. Filming had been suspended due to coronavirus. On 23rd May 2020, it was reported that Hana Kimura died at the age of 22 leaving a suicide note on social media. Hours earlier, she posted self-harm images and tweeted: Nearly 100 frank opinions every day. I couldn't deny they hurt me. "Die", "you are disgusting", "you should disappear" I believed these things about myself more than they did. Thank you, Mother, for the gift of life. My whole life I wanted to be loved. Thank you to everyone who supported me. I love you all. I'm sorry for being weak. Her last Instagram stories and photo were posted with her cat and a caption in Japanese translated as follows: I love you, have fun, and live a long time. I'm sorry. Pro wrestlers around the world paid tribute to her on social media after news of the death was announced. WWE star Natalya posted: "I just heard this news and I’m truly saddened by it. Heartbreaking. Prayers for #HanaKimura and her family." Tessa Blanchard said: "It absolutely breaks my heart how cruel people can be on social media. It was an amazing honor to know Hana Kimura. "She was an amazing girl with the kindest soul and immense passion and work ethic. I’m at a loss of words over this tragedy. Rest In Peace my friend."

On 3rd September 1997, Hana Kimura was born in Yokohama, Japan; her birthplace. She was Japanese by nationality and her ethnicity was Asian. Her race was White. She was born to her parents; Isao Kobayashi (father) and Kyoko Kimura (mother). Her mother is a retired wrestler. She lastly celebrated her 22nd birthday as of 2019. Her horoscope sign was Virgo. Wrestling Career

  • Hana Kimura won the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship one time on 21st August 2005 at the age of 8, in a live event in Tokyo, and then lost the title to her mother Kyoko.
  • She was trained at Wrestle-1's Professional Wrestling University in 2010. 
  • She debuted for Wrestle-1 on 30th March 2016, against classmate Reika Saiki in a losing effort.
  • She then wrestled against her mother in a match on 7th August 2016. 
  • She captured her first title, the JWP Junior Championship, by defeating Yako Fujigasaki in a tournament final on 18th September 2016 and began appearing in Stardom.
  • She teamed with her mother and Kagetsu to capture the Artist of Stardom Championship on 2nd October 2016 and the team vacated the titles on 3rd January 2017, when Kimura was injured. 
  • She lost her JWP Junior Championship on 28th December 2016, to Yako Fujigasaki. 
  • She became a member of Stardom's heel stable, Oedo Tai. 
  • She then split 2017 between Wrestle-1, Sendai Girls' Pro Wrestling, and Stardom while being a full-time performer for Wrestle-1. 
  • At Stardom's Galaxy Stars 2017 event, she teamed with her fellow Oedo Tai member, Kagetsu, to win the Goddess of Stardom Championship by defeating Team Jungle of Hiroyo Matsumoto and Jungle Kyona on 21st June 2017. 
  • The team held the titles for nearly a year, successfully defending against teams such as Jungle Kyona and HZK, Io Shirai and Viper, Jungle Kyona, and Natsuko Tora, HZK and Momo Watanabe, Mayu Iwatani and Tam Nakano.
  • Later, the team was defeated by Mayu Iwatani and Saki Kashima on 3rd June 2018. 
  • On 9th January 2018, Kimura officially joined Wrestle-1 and made an international tour in early 2018, competing for Ring of Honor, Pro-Wrestling: EVE, and various promotions in Mexico. 
  • She left Oedo Tai on 24th September after she attacked Kagetsu.
  • On 21st March 2019, she announced she was leaving Wrestle-1.
  • On 25th March 2019, she officially joined Stardom. 
  • She along with Stella Grey and Sumie Sakai wrestled Jenny Rose and Oedo Tai (Kagetsu and Hazuki) in a dark match at Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s G1 Supercard on 6th April 2019. 
  • She named leader of the International Army faction on 14th April 2019 at the 2019 Stardom draft.

  • The faction was renamed, "Tokyo Cyber Squad", on 21st April 2019.
  • On 16th May 2019, she along with her stablemates Jungle Kyona and Konami won the Artist of Stardom Championship after defeating Mayu Iwatani, Saki Kashima, and Tam Nakano.
  • She along with Giulia wrestled Mayu Iwatani and Arisa Hoshiki wrestled in a dark match at New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Wrestle Kingdom 14 on 4th January 2020 which was the first women's match at the Tokyo Dome since 2002.
  • She had her final match on March 24 at Stardom's Cinderella Tournament 2020, wrestling Mayu Iwatani in the first round to a draw.

Acting Career

  • Regarding her acting career, she joined Terrace House in September 2019, appearing on the show until her death.
  • She was involved in an incident with housemate Kai Edward Kobayashi with Kimura's Wrestle Kingdom 14 ring attire in early January. 
  • He washed his clothes while Kimura's outfit was also in the washer, he then threw it in the dryer, ruining her wrestling attire which made Kimura upset and knocking his hat off his head and leading to the verbal conflict which sent her into depression and after it aired in March, her actions drew criticism, name-calling, and abuse from social media users.
