Kangana Ranaut took birth on 23 March 1987 in Bhambla, Himachal Pradesh, India which is her birthplace, and grew up too. She belongs to the Indian-Asian ethnicity and she holds Indian nationality. About Kangana Ranaut's parents, she was born to Asha Ranaut (Mother) and Amardeep Ranaut (Father). Her mother is a school teacher and her father is a businessman. She has an elder sister named Rangoli Chandel, who as of 2014 works as her manager, and a younger brother named Akshat. Her great-grandfather Sarju Singh Ranaut, who was a member of the Legislative Assembly, and her grandfather was an officer for the Indian Administrative Service.
