Nadine Vanessa Dorries famed as Nadine Dorries is a British Conservative politician serving as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health and Social Care since 2019. She has also served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Mid Bedfordshire since 2005. Health minister Nadine Dorries tests positive for Coronavirus

Health minister and Conservative MP Nadine Dorries has been diagnosed with coronavirus. Ms. Dorries said she has been self-isolating at home. Labour MP Rachael Maskell said she has since been told to do the same as she had met Ms. Dorries. The Department of Health said Ms. Dorries first showed symptoms on Thursday - the same day she attended an event hosted by the prime minister. Six people with the virus have died in the UK, which has a total of 382 cases. Meanwhile, a 53-year-old British woman has become the first person with Covid-19, the disease caused by the virus, to die in Indonesia, according to local media reports.

On 21st May 1957, Nadine Dorries was born in Liverpool, Merseyside, England. Her ethnicity is Mixed. She was raised as a Protestant. She is British by nationality. As of 2019, she celebrated her 62nd birthday. Her birth name is Nadine Vanessa Bargery. Her father was a bus driver who became a lift operator having suffered from Raynaud's disease. Her father was a Roman Catholic of Irish descent, while her mother was an English Protestant. She was educated at Rose Heath Primary School and Halewood Grange Comprehensive School. She entered nursing in 1975 as a trainee at Warrington General Hospital. In the year 1982, she became a medical representative to Ethicla Ltd for a year, before spending a year in Zambia (1983-1984). She worked for three years as a special adviser to Oliver Letwin, then Shadow Chancellor, including managing his relations with the media. She also has a sister.

Nadine Dorries was a married woman. She was married to her husband Paul Dorries. The couple was also blessed with three daughters named Jennifer, Cassie and Philippa. Later, the couple separated in 2007 and divorced as well. On 10th March 2020, it was announced that Dorries had been diagnosed with COVID-19, and was self-isolating. Her daughter was among the highest-earning family members employed by MPs with a salary of £40,000-45,000 as an office manager, even though her daughter lived 96 miles away from the office. Subsequently, Dorries' sister was taken on as "senior secretary" with a salary of £30,000-35,000.
