Priscilla Presley is an American businesswoman and actress. She is best known as the former wife of late Elvis Presley, singing superstar and king of Rock n Roll. She is also known as the co-founder and former chairwoman of Elvis Presley Enterprises the company that turned Graceland into one of the top tourist attractions in the United States. She has starred in multiple films, soap operas and tv films such as Love is Forever, Dallas, Dancing with the Stars, Breakfast with Einstein, and Weeding at Graceland. Additionally, she also starred in her own line of perfumes, including Moments, Experiences, Indian Summer, and Roses.
Early Life
Priscilla Ann Wagner was born on the 24th of May 1945 in Brooklyn, New York as Priscilla Ann Wagner. She was born to her parents James Wagner and Anna Lillian Iversen. Her father was a US Navy Pilot and was killed in an air crash when she was less than a year old. Her mother remarried in 1948. Her stepfather Paul Beaulieu, was also in the air force. Beaulieu raised Pricilla, she became known as Priscilla Beaulieu. The family moves out every few years due to Beaulieu's career in the Air force. As a result, Presley grew up in Connecticut, New Mexico, Maine, and Texas. Paul was transferred to Germany in 1956, and it was here that Priscilla met Elvis Presley, who was serving in the army at the time. She attended Immaculate Conception High School in Memphis, Tennessee.
Albert Henry Iversen and Lorraine Iversen were her maternal grandparents and Kathryn Wanger and Harold Wanger were her paternal grandparents. She has German ancestry from her father's side and English and Scottish ancestry from her mother's side. She holds an American nationality and belongs to a white ethnic background.
Personal life
Priscilla met Elvis Presley at a celebration at his house in Bad Nauheim in September 1959. But, her mom and dad weren't happy about Elvis, 24, and Priscilla, 14, being romantically involved, however, Presley won them over when he showed up at their home in uniform. Elvis left West Germany in march 1960 and kept in touch with Priscilla through phone calls till she became capable to visit him in Los Angeles in 1962. They were married in a celebration of 8 minutes on May 1, 1967, in Las Vegas, and their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley was born on February 1, 1968. Sadly the couple divorced on October 9, 1973, and agreed to raise Lisa Marie together. However, Elvis and Priscilla remained friends, and raised Lisa Marie together, until his death in 1977.
Moreover, Priscilla had a number of romantic relationships since her divorce from Elvis. Soon after, she lived with karate coach Mike Stone, but the relationship broke down in 1975. She later dated photographer Terry O'Neill, lawyer Robert Kardashian, hairdresser Elie Ezerzer, and financier Kirk Kerkorian. From 1978 to 1984, she had a six-year live-in relationship with model Michael Edwards.
