Toni Kroos is a German professional footballer who is playing for La Liga club Real Madrid (current team) and the Germany national team. His playing position for the team is Midfielder. He is most known for his vision, passing, creativity, and set-piece ability, though he is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world. He began his senior club career playing for Bayern Munich making his debut match at the age of 17 in the year 2007. With the team, he has won two consecutive league titles, a UEFA Champions League title, two DFB-Pokal titles, and was voted into the league team of the season three times. In the year 2014, he joined Real Madrid in a transfer worth €25 million. He became the ninth German player, after Gunter Netzer, Paul Breitner, Uli Stielike, Bernd Schuster, Bodo Illgner, Christoph Metzelder, Mesut Ozil, and Sami Khedira, to join Real Madrid.   • Initially, Toni Kroos started his football career with the local club, Greifswalder SC. He then moved to Bayern Munich's youth setup in 2006. 
  • He was promoted to Bayern's senior team for the 2007-2008 season. He then made his debut for Bayern on 26 September 2007 in a 5-0 defeat of Energie Cottbus becoming the youngest player ever to represent Bayern in a professional match at 17 years, 265 days old later broken by David Alaba in the year 2010. 
  • He made his UEFA Cup debut on 25th October coming on as a substitute in the 81st minute and providing an assist for Miroslav Klose and then scoring the winning goal, his first for the club, in stoppage time. After that, he made his very first start for the club in a 3-1 defeat away at VfB Stuttgart. 
  • With 20 appearances for Bayern, including six starts, he ended his very first season; also by scoring three goals in twelve appearances for Bayern Munich II in the Regionalliga Sud. 
  • Later, he was selected to start in Bayern's opening 2008-2009 Bundesliga match against Hamburger SV. He then made his UEFA Champions League debut as a 79th-minute substitute against Fiorentina on 5th November 2008. 
  • Bayern then allowed him to join Bayer Leverkusen on 31st January 2009 on an 18-month loan. He made his debut match on 28th February against Hannover 96.

  • On 17th July 2014, Real Madrid announced that they had reached an agreement for the transfer of Kroos, signing a six-year deal for an undisclosed fee. Whereas, the press reported that Kroos had cost between €24 and €30 million. Greifswalder SV 04, the successor to his first youth team, received €60,000 from the transfer.
  • He then made his debut match against Sevilla in the 2014 UEFA Super Cup on 12th August 2014. He scored his first goal for the team against Rayo Vallecano.

  • Moving towards his international career, he made his debut for the national U-21 team on 5th September 2008 in a 2009 Euro U-21 Championship Qualifier against Northern Ireland scoring the opening goal in the eleventh minute of the match. 
  • He was then called up to the senior Germany team for the first time, for a training session in Sindelfingen in January 2010 and was even named in the squad for the following match, a friendly against Argentina on 3rd March 2010, in which he made his debut for the national side.
