Canadian actor, singer, writer, and activist, Avan Jogia is well recognized for his television roles Beck Oliver in Nickelodeon sitcom "Victorious", Danny Desai in ABC Family drama "Twisted", Roman Mercer in Syfy paranormal action series "Ghost Wars", and Ulysses Zane in Starz comedy "Now Apocalypse". He attended Killarney Secondary School and King George Secondary School, but quit when he was 16 to pursue an acting career. He scored his first notable television role in three episodes of The CW's "Aliens in America". Jogia was inspired by the acting skills of several veterans like the legendary Ben Kingsley since a young age and this is why he opted for a career in acting. Avan Jogia Early Life 

On 9th February 1992, Avan Jogia took birth as Avan Tudor Jogia in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (hometown/birthplace). He is of Canadian nationality and as his father is Gujarati Indian, and his mother is of English, German, and Welsh descent, he belongs to mixed ethnicity/ethnic backgroundnd.   • Avan Jogia jumps off his acting career starring the role of Gwen Araujo in the biographical television film "A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story" in 2006 and he had also a recurring role of Sam in The CW television sitcom "Aliens in America" in 2007.
  • He next starred in the 2008 Nickelodeon network original film "Gym Teacher: The Movie" as Champ Sinclair and returned to the network the following year, starring in the 2009 film "Spectacular!" as Tajid.
  • As well, he appeared in the television series "Caprica" from 2009 to 2010, and then he joined the cast of Nickelodeon television series "Victorious" in late 2009 which was the actor's first main role in a television series; a role, which lasted from the series' inception in March 2010.
  • He also appeared as Beck in the Nickelodeon film, "iParty with Victorious" and was cast in the lead role of Danny Desai on the ABC Family mystery thriller series "Twisted" (originally titled "Socio"), in October 2012.
