Bhim Sharki Early Life & Family Background

Born on September 26, 2001, in Kanchanpur, Nepal, Bhim Sharki holds Nepalese nationality and he is of Nepalese-Asian ethnicity. As of 2022, he celebrated his 21st birthday and falls under the zodiac sign of Libra. Bhim has an elder brother named Binod Sharki, who was the first to venture into cricket within their family. Binod used to play cricket with his friends, including Bharat Malla, who introduced the sport to Bhim. While Binod would go for matches, Bhim would assist in the family's small general store. Eventually, they both developed an interest in cricket, leading them to close the shop. Initially, they played with tennis balls and Bhim never joined a cricket academy. As he improved his skills, he decided to move to Kathmandu, where many of his seniors were located. Despite being there for only a few months, he has received immense support from his elders.

Bhim shared that being the sole breadwinner for his family while pursuing a career in Nepali cricket is not an easy task. Both his elder brother and younger brother are aiming to find jobs abroad. Although his family has not pressured him regarding his career, Bhim understands the need to assess his situation and explore other means or cricket-related businesses to provide for his family if needed, in a few years' time. He comes from an economically unstable background and recalls their home being put on loan to establish a rickshaw garage. His father purchased an old bus, which he drove, while Bhim primarily worked at the garage, with assistance from his younger brother. They had to repair multiple cycles and rickshaws in a day, as hiring additional labor was not financially feasible. Bhim's daily routine involved attending school in the morning, working at the garage throughout the day, and playing cricket in the evening. Upon earning money from cricket, Bhim's first priority was to pay off the long-standing debts on their home, highlighting his sense of responsibility towards his family and their financial well-being.
