Breel Donald Embolo is a Cameroon-born Swiss professional football player. He plays for Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach. His playing position is forward. 

He began his career with Basel, making his professional debut on 13 March 2014 in the Europa League round of 16 first leg, and won the Swiss Super League in all three of his first seasons. In June 2016, he signed for Bundesliga side Schalke 04 on a five-year deal, for a reported fee of €20 million-plus add-ons and went on to play three seasons at the club. In July 2019, he then signed for fellow Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach on a four-year contract deal, for a reported fee of €11 million.

On the international level, born in Cameroon, he represents the Switzerland national team. He has represented Switzerland at various age levels. He has represented Switzerland at U16, U20, U21, and the senior level. He made his senior international team debut for Switzerland on 31 March 2015. He has represented Switzerland at UEFA Euro 2016, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and UEFA Euro 2020.
