Charles Wade Barkley, professionally known as Charles Barkley is an American retired professional basketball player. He currently works as an analyst on TNT show, Inside the NBA. As a basketball player, he has achieved several prestigious honors including 11-time NBA All-Star. He is considered one of the greatest power forwards in NBA history. The Philadelphia 76ers drafted him in the 1984 NBA Draft. He later went on to play 16 seasons on NBA. He played his professional NBA career with 76ers, Phoenix Suns, and Houston Rockets. He was named NBA Most Valuable Player in 1993. 

He won 2 gold medals with the US basketball team. He was one of the players in the US "Dream Team".Following his retirement, he became an NBA analyst working for the TNT network. He is also an author and has written several books.

He attended Leeds High School, where he started playing basketball. Following his high school graduation, he attended Auburn University. He led the Tigers to their first NCAA Tournament in school history and has received several honors during his collegiate career. He forgo his senior year to enter the 1984 NBA draft.
