An English radio and television broadcaster, Chris Tarrant presented the ITV children's television show "Tiswas" from 1974 to 1981, and the game show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" from 1998 to 2014 from where he received mainstream recognition as the original host of the popular UK game show. His career began in 1964 when he was hired by the since-dissolved television network ATV. Tarrant worked as a schoolteacher and also briefly as a film director for the Central Office of Information before joining ATV as a newsreader on "ATV Today". He represented the school in hockey and cricket and gained A, B, and D grades at A-level in English, history, and ancient history. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Television Awards in 2000 as well as was a Capital Radio host from 1984 to 2004. Chris Tarrant opened his eyes for the first time on 10th October 1946 with the real name or full name of Christopher Goose Tarrant in Reading, Berkshire, England (hometown /birthplace). He holds a British nationality and a British-white ethnicity. Analogously, he is from the Christian religion and his race is white. On 13th May 2007, Tarrant was arrested on suspicion of assault at an Indian restaurant and released on police bail ads well, he was arrested on suspicion of assault at his home in Esher on 5th March 2009 but he was later released without charge. On 18th December 2017, Tarrant appeared in court charged with drink-driving. He returned to court on 18th January 2018 and received a 6,000-pound fine and a 12-month driving ban.
Recently, Tarrant has slammed Kerry Katona, recalling how he met her once at an event in Marbella, Spain. "I do remember meeting Kerry. She was upsetting everybody,' he recalled.
