Jonny Lee Miller is a British-American actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Simon's "Sick Boy" Williamson in the dark comedy-drama film "Trainspotting" (1996) and its sequel "T2 Trainspotting" (2017). Miller made his acting debut with a small and uncredited role in the BBC drama "Doctor Who" at the age of 9 in the 1982 episode 'Kinda'. Since then, he has starred in several films and TV series including "Inspector Morse" (1991), "EastEnders" (1992), "Dead Man's Walk" (1996), "Regeneration" (1997), "Melinda and Melinda" (2004), "The Flying Scotsman" (2006), "Eli Stone" (2008), "Emma" (2009), "Dark Shadows" (2012), "Funny Face" (2020). From 2012 to 2019, he starred as Sherlock Holmes in the procedural drama television series "Elementary". He has also appeared in several plays such as "Four Knights in Knaresborough", "Festen", "After Miss Julie", and "Ink". Also, he won Olivier Award under the category of Best Actor in a Play for his portrayal of Victor Frankenstein in the play "Frankenstein" in 2012. He will be seen as Paul Bennet in the upcoming thriller film "Alice". He is quite active on Instagram with around 232k followers on his official account @jonnymiller.
Besides his acting career, Miller has also trained in both Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Evolution Muay Thai in New York City. Also, he took part in an exhibition Muay Thai bout held at Chok Sabai Gym in New York City in May 2018, which followed a five-week training camp leading up to the event. On 1st February 2019, Miller made his Muay Thai debut at Friday Night Fights held at Broad Street Ballroom in New York City on 1st February 2019, and he won the fight by knockout on Robert Bermudez in the third round with a right cross-left hook combination.
Moreover, he is also a marathon runner and was signed up to run the 2006 marathon des Sables, but he had to drop out due to shooting a film. He ran the 2008 London Marathon at 3:01:40.

Regarding his education, Miller attended Tiffin School where he appeared in several school plays such as The Ragged Child and Performed as part of the Tiffin Swing Band. Jonny Lee Miller had been married twice in his life but got divorced each time. Firstly, he married actress Angelina Jolie on 28th March 1996. But, the couple separated just after 18 months of their marriage and they were divorced in 2000. However, the duo remains close friends.
Later on, the actor began dating actress and model, Michele Hicks in 2006. After dating for two years, the duo exchanged their marriage vows in July 2008 in Malibu, California.
