Joshua Otis Turner shortly named Josh Turner is an American country music and gospel singer-songwriter, as well as an actor. He released his debut album's title track, "Long Black Train" which became his breakthrough single release. Josh Turner was born on 20th November 1977 in Hannah, South Carolina with the birth name/real name of Joshua Otis Turner. He is American by nationality and he belongs to American-White ethnicity. His race is White. He is Christian by religion and his horoscope sign is Scorpio. His parents are Joe Turner (father) and Karen Turner (mother). He has one brother and sister with whom he grew up. His brother's name is Matt Turner and his sister's name is Carrie Turner. Growing up in the church, he founded a gospel quartet called Thankful Hearts, where he sang bass, in addition to singing the bass and baritone parts in choirs. He learned classical vocal technique and how to take care of his voice and avoid developing further problems as he developed a lesion on his right vocal cord.
