Kirstie Alley was an American actress, producer, model, and television personality. Alley is best known for her role as Rebecca Howe on the NBC sitcom, "Cheers" for which she received her first Emmy award and also a Golden Globe Award. Alley also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995.

Her other notable television appearances are such as Veronica's Closet, Salem Witch Trials, Kirstie Alley's Big Life, Baby Sellers, Scream Queens, Time Crashers, and Celebrity Big Brother 22.

Emmy award-winning actress, Kirstie Alley died on 5th December 2022. She died at the age of 71 after a brief battle with cancer. Her death news was announced by her children True and Lillie Parker through her social media.  

"We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce, and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered," they said in a statement. "She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead," they continued. "As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother." “Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren, and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did,” they said.

In addition, Alley's friend and former co-star, John Travolta paid tribute to the actress through social media. He wrote, "Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I've ever had. I love you Kirstie," "I know we will see each other again".

Kirstie Alley was born on January 12, 1951, as Kirstie Louise Alley. Her birthplace is Wichita, Kansas, United States. Alley was born to her father Robert Deal Alley, who was an owner of a lumber company, and her mother Lillian Mickie who was a housewife. She has two siblings, a brother named Craig Alley, and a sister named Colette Alley. Alley was raised as a Methodist in her hometown Wichita along with her siblings. Likewise, she was American by nationality and her ethnicity was white. She had English, German, Scottish and Irish ancestry. Moreover, she was born with Capricorn as her zodiac sign.

Concerning her educational background, Alley did her schooling at the Wichita Southeast High School and got graduated in 1969. Later, she attended Kansas State University and left the University after her sophomore year.

Kirstie Alley was married twice in her life. Firstly, she was married to her high school sweetheart, Bob Alley. The couple got married in 1970, though their marriage ended in divorce in 1977, only seven years after their marriage.

Shortly after her divorce, Alley began dating actor, Parker Stevenson. After a few months of dating, they tied the knot on December 22, 1983. The couple had two children named William True, and Lillie Price together. However, her second marriage was also short-lived. After almost 14 years of marriage, they got divorced in 1977 and shared joint custody of their children.

Further, Alley became a grandmother following the birth of her grandson Waylon Tripp Parker from William in 2016.
