  • In the 2022 Indian Premier League auction, held in February of that year, Mayers was acquired by the Lucknow Super Giants team. On 27 March 2022, during the third test match of England's tour of West Indies in St. George's, Mayers impressed by taking five wickets for just eighteen runs in the second innings, earning his first-ever Test match five-wicket haul and finishing the match with seven wickets in total. On 4 June 2022, in the third and final ODI of the series against the Netherlands, Mayers hit his first century in ODI cricket, scoring 120 runs. He continued his fine form in the next match, this time against New Zealand, where he achieved another century, scoring 105 runs.
