Mark Barron an American football linebacker who is currently a free agent. He was twice recognized as an All-American and was a member of two BCS National while playing in college football in Alabama. He was drafted as a strong safety by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, where he played for two and a half seasons before being traded to the St. Louis Rams in 2014, where he moved to the linebacker position. He signed a two-year, $12 million contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019.

  • Barron accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Alabama, where he played for coach Nick Saban's Alabama Crimson Tide football team from 2008 to 2011.
