Paolo Guerrero

Paolo Guerrero is a Peruvian footballer who plays as a striker for Brazilian club Internacional and the Peru national team. He spent his early career in Germany, formed at Bayern Munich, and later playing at Hamburger SV, amassing Bundesliga totals of 161 games and 47 goals across eight seasons.

Early Life of Paolo Guerrero 

Paolo Guerrero was born as Josh Paolo Guerrero Gonzales on 1st January 1984 in Lima, Peru. His birthday falls on 1st January of every year. He is of Peruvian nationality and his ethnicity is White. His father name is Jose Guerrero Gonzales and his mother name is Petronila Gonzales. His brother's name is Julio Rivera. He and his brother spent their childhood by playing Football at their locality. Football was already set up in his mind from the beginning of his childhood. • Guerrero started his early career by playing in the lower categories of Alianza Lima FC where he played from 1992–2002.  
• In 2003, he signed a contract with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and played for the junior team.

• Guerrero started his professional career by playing in the senior team of Bayern Munich II from 2002 to 2006.
• The due to his excellent performance he was promoted to the First choice team of Bayern Munich where he played from 2004 to 2006. In June 2006, it was announced that Guerrero had transferred to Hamburger SV and signed a contract with the club through 2010. Guerrero joined Brazilian club Corinthians on 13 July 2012, on a three-year deal for a fee of R$7.5 million where he made 62 appearances scoring 23 goals. Then he joined Flamengo FC on 29 May 2015, where he made  61 appearances scoring 19 goals.  On 12 August 2018, Guerrero signed with S.C. Internacional on a three-year contract, after leaving Flamengo on a free transfer. Guerrero's national career began at the 2001 Bolivarian Games where he won gold with the U-17 squad. His international career with the senior team began in the unsuccessful 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign, but he managed to score twice for the national side. His first goal was the winner against Chile in Lima's
• Estadio Nacional. made 17 appearances and scored five goals in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, helping Peru clinch a berth in the play-offs.
• He made his 2018 World Cup debut on 16 June 2018. In May 2019, he was included in Ricardo Gareca's final 23-man squad for the 2019 Copa América in Brazil.
• In the 2019 Copa América Final against hosts Brazil on 7 July, at the Maracanã Stadium, Guerrero scored the temporary equalizer from the penalty spot in the first half.
• On 11 October 2019, he made his 100th international appearance for Peru against Uruguay.
