Rege-Jean Page began his career by appearing in "The History Boys" and "The Merchant of Venice". He made his American debut playing the role of Chicken George in the History Channel big-budget miniseries "Roots" in 2016. In February 2021, it was announced that he had been cast in the upcoming "Dungeons & Dragons" film. Similarly, he can also be seen in the upcoming Netflix movie, "The Gray Man". On 7th April 2021 (Wednesday), he posted a tweet appearing to comment on the "Krypton" casting process. "Hearing about these conversations hurts no less now than it did back then," he wrote, without specifically mentioning the controversy. "The clarifications almost hurt more [to be honest]. Still just doing my thing. Still we do the work. We still fly." He is speaking out after a new report claimed that he was passed over for a role because he is Black. Previously auditioned for the role of Superman's grandfather in the Syfy series Krypton, but was denied the role because DC Films co-founder Geoff Johns said the character couldn't be Black, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter published Tuesday.
