  • Rohan Dennis initially started his career focusing on the track winning silver in team pursuit at the 2012 Summer Olympics with the Australian team.
  • In 2013, he joined Garmin–Sharp and debuted at the Tour de France, withdrawing before Stage 9. 
  • The following year, he secured second place overall at the Tour of California.
  • He finished second in the Commonwealth Games time trial, with Alex Dowsett taking the top spot.
  • In 2014, he joined BMC Racing Team, winning the World team time trial championship. 
  • In 2015, he set a new hour record of 52.491 kilometers (32.616 miles), won stage one of the Tour de France, and received the Sir Hubert Opperman medal.

His wife, Melissa Hoskins, was allegedly killed by a vehicle he was driving. She dies on 31st December 2023. After being released on bail, he is set to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in March 2024.
