Kodak Black was born on June 11, 1997, in Pompano Beach, Florida. His parents were originally from Haiti. After his parents got separated his mother Marcelene Octave raised him in a housing project in Pompano Beach. His nationality is American and his ethnicity is Black. He celebrated his 22nd birthday with his friends and families as of 2019. His real name is Dieuson Octave.
From an early age, he loved rapping. He started rapping in elementary school and began to go to a local trap house after school to record music. He used to spend his youth reading dictionaries and thesauruses to further his vocabulary.
He was expelled from school in the fifth grade for fighting and was arrested for auto theft while in middle school.
