Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid is a Nigerian singer, and songwriter. He made his theatrical film debut in the Nigerian comedy movie "The Return of Jenifa" in 2011 and he worked with Naeto C Ikechukwu and M.I while developing his craft. He co-wrote "Omoga You Too Much" a song from Banky W's The W Experience album. In 2014, he became the first Nigerian musician to have over one million followers on Twitter and was invited as a special guest for some show on Tinie Tempah's tour of the UK in 2014. On 12 August 2021, Wizkid released a remix of his song with Teams "Essence" featuring Canadian superstar Justin Bieber, who personally stamped the song as "song of the summer". He released his fourth album "Made in Logos" in October 2020 which album includes the single "Essence" which became the first Nigerian song to chart on the US Billboard Hot 100 in July at No. 82 and is currently at No.54. In 2021, he was the most-streamed Nigerian artist of all time on Spotify, with over 3.4 billion streams across all credits.

Early Life

With the name of Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, he stepped into this world for the first time on 16 July 1990 in Surulere, Logos, Nigeria. He held Nigerian nationality and belonged to the African-Nigerian ethnicity. By religion, he is Christian & Islam as his father practiced Islam and his mother was a Pentecostal Christian. Wizkid was born to his father, Alhaji Muniru Olatunji Balogun, and his mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun. He has 12 siblings.

Wizkid is currently single and focuses on his career. Previously, he had an affair with Oluwanishola Ogudugu. As a result of their affair, she gave birth to their son named Boluwatife Balogun in 2011 but he denied the allegation that he was the father. However, he eventually admitted that he had an affair with Ogudugu and was the father of Boluwatife. Then, he had an affair with Binta Diamond Diallo, and together, he has a son named King Ayo (Born in 2016) as well as he was in a relationship with Jada Pollock and he had a son named Zion Ayo-Balogun with his girlfriend Jada Pollock in 2017. He confirmed the news on his official Twitter account. Regarding his sexual orientation, he is straight.
Moreover, Wizkid was in a relationship with American model and singer Justine Skye (2016-2017). They were first linked in June 2016 based on their social media activity. The dating rumors gained further momentum when music blogger Ovie tweeted that Wizkid was sharing at the One Music Africa Fest event with his girlfriend Skye. In 2017, the couple had ended their relationship because of the long-distance equation. Later, he was linked with fellow Nigerian singer Tiwas Savage in 2018 after singer and songwriter, Davido hinted at their relationship through his tweets.
