• D-nice began his career in the mid-1980s with the hip hop group "Boogie Down Productions" along with KRS-One and  DJ Scott La Rock. 
• The group was founded by KRS-One and DJ Scott La Rock, with producer Lee Smith. D-Nice along with KRS-One and  DJ Scott La Rock released their debut album "Criminal Minded" in March 1987.  
• He discovered Kid Rock in 1988, landing him a deal with Jive Records.
• He remained a member of "Boogie Down Productions" until 1990 and due to certain disputes among the member he left the Group. 
• Then he began his career as a Solo Music performer.
• His debut studio album was "Call Me D-Nice" which consist of 10 Hip Hop songs.

• He shot the album covers for Carl Thomas' 2007 album So Much Better and Pharoahe Monch's 2011 album W.A.R. (We Are Renegades).
