Early Life of Kwon Alexander

Kwon Alexander was born on 3 August 1994. He was born to a father, Broderick Taylor and a mother, Peaches Taylor. His birthplace is in Oxford, Alabama in the United States. He holds American nationality. He has a brother Broderick Taylor Jr. 

He attended Oxford High School in Oxford, Alabama. In his junior season, he recorded 144 tackles, 17 sacks, and 6 forced fumbles during his junior year at Oxford. However, he missed most of his 2011 senior year due to a knee injury. He participated in the Under Armour All-American Game as a member of the black team.  He was one of the finalists for the High School Butkus Award. He was named to the 2011 ESPN All-Alabama Football Team and was a Class 6A All-State Football Team Honorable Mention. 

He was ranked No. 19 in the 2012 Scout.com Final Southeast Top 150. ESPN.com, Rivals.com, and Scout.com regarded him as a four-star prospect. He was ranked No. 45 in the Press-Register Super Southeast 120 and No. 29 in the 2012 ESPNU 150. 

He enrolled at Louisiana State University to play college football. He recorded 92 tackles and 1.5 sacks in his junior year at Louisiana. 

He announced via his Twitter account to forgo his senior season at Louisiana and enter the 2015 NFL Draft.

Professional Career of Kwon Alexander

He completed all the necessary drills, finishing second among all linebackers in the 40-yard dash, sixth in the bench press and short shuttle, and ninth in the three-cone drill at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

He was projected to be a third-round pick by NFL drafts experts and scouts. 

NFL analyst Charles Davis ranked him the second-best outside linebacker prospect and NFLDraftScouts.com ranked him sixth best outside linebacker prospect. 

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected him with the 124th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. 

He signed a four-year deal with the Buccaneers worth $2.75 million including a signing bonus of $478,322.

He was named starting middle linebacker alongside linebackers Lavonte David and David Lansanah. 

He made his professional debut and his first career starts against the Tennessee Titans.

He was given a four-game ban on 7 December 2015 for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

He was named to his first Pro Bowl replacing injured Seahawks middle linebacker Bobby Wagner. 

He played the first six games of the 2018 season. He was out for the rest of the season after suffering ACL torn injury in Week 7.
