He is best known as the frontman (lead singer, songwriter, lyricist, and pianist) of the experimental rock band, Man Man. He goes by the stage name, Honus Honus. He is also a member of the indie-rock supergroup, Mister Heavenly. He is also widely known as the boyfriend of the Crazy Rich Asians star, Constance Wu. The couple reportedly welcomed their first child together in late 2020.
