Mel Colmcille Gerard Gibson, popularly known as Mel Gibson is a veteran American actor and filmmaker. Gibson is best known for his action hero roles in film series, Mad Max and buddy cop film series, Lethal Weapon. He made his breakthrough with George Miller's dystopian action film, Mad Max in 1979. He later went on to star in numerous hit movies. He made his directorial debut in 1993 with the movie, The Man Without a Face.
