Instead, The Sundance Store, founded by actor Robert Redford, will open its doors in Cincinnati sometime in November, according to the company's website. An exact location hasn't been announced and Sundance representatives weren't immediately available for comment. The store, which started in Utah, is part of Redford's SundanceGroup of entities which includes a television network and a mountain resort. The first location started as a small storefront in Sundance, Utah, selling handcrafted wares. Redford later created a mail-order catalog. The retailer has grown to 18 locations across 14 states. The stores feature a curated collection of clothes, jewelry, accessories, home goods and more.

Robert Redford was born on August 18, 1936, in Santa Monica, California. He was born to father Charles Robert Redford and mother Martha Hart. He has a stepbrother name as William, from his father's remarriage. Redford's family moved to Van Nuys, California, while his father worked in El Segundo. Regarding his, education, he attended Van Nuys High School. He has described himself as having been a "bad" student, finding inspiration outside the classroom, and being interested in art and sports. After graduating from high school in 1954, he attended the University of Colorado Boulder in Boulder, Colorado for a year and a half, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. While there, he worked at the restaurant/bar The Sink. While at Colorado, Redford began drinking heavily, and as a result, lost his half-scholarship and was kicked out of school. Later he traveled in Europe, living in France, Spain, and Italy.
