Sebastiano Esposito is an Italian professional football player who plays for Swiss Super League club Basel, on loan from Inter Milan as a forward. He started playing football for the youth team of Brescia in 2011 and played until 2014. In 2014, he joined the youth team of Inter Milan and began his career at the club. He made his professional debut for Inter Milan at 16 years old, on 14 March 2019, in the second leg of the Europa League match as he became the youngest player ever to feature in a European competition match for the club. On 23 October 2019, he made his Champions League debut for the club in the group stage match against Borussia Dortmund as he became the first player born in 2002 and the second youngest ever for the club to feature in a Champions League/European Cup match, after Giuseppe Bergomi. On 25 September 2020, he joined SPAL on loan where he made 13 appearances and scored once in all the competitions. On 15 January 2021, he was then loaned to Venezia where he made 13 appearances and scored once in all the competitions. On 13 July 2021, he was loaned to Swiss club FC Basel with an option to buy. He made his Swiss Super League debut for the club on 25 July 2021.
On the international level, Esposito has represented Italy at various age levels. He has represented Italy at U16, U17, U18, U19, U20, and U21 levels. He was part of the Italy U17 squad that reached the final of the 2019 UEFA European U17 Championship. He made his Italy U21 team debut on 3 September 2020. He is yet to make his senior international team debut for Italy.
