Yami Gautam is an Indian model and actress who mainly appears in Hindi films alongside some Kannada, Panjabi, Tamil Telugu, and Malayalam movies. She came to the limelight after starring in a series of Fair & Lovely commercials. She has also appeared in some TV series including, "Chand Ke Paar Chalo" (2008-2009), "Raajkumar Aaryyan" (2008), and "Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam" (2009-2010). Yami made her film debut in the Kannada film "Ullasa Utsaha" in 2009 but she made her Bollywood debut in a leading role in the romantic comedy-drama film, "Vicky Donor" alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Annu Kapoor. The film earned her several awards and nominations including the "Zee Cine Awards" for Best Female Debut and "IIFA Awards" for Star Debut of the Year-Female. Since then she has starred in several films such as Ek Noor (2011), Gouravam (2013), Total Siyappa (2014), Action Jackson (2014) Sanam Re (2016), Batti Gul Meter Chalu (2018), and Ginny Weds Sunny (2020). She is also famous for her critically acclaimed films, such as "Kaabil" (2017), "Uri: The surgical strike"(2019), and "Bala" (2019). Moreover, she will be seen in the upcoming Bollywood movies like "Bhoot Police", and "Dasvi".

Early Life
Yami Gautam was born on 28th November 1988 in a pure vegetarian and authentic Hindu Brahmin family in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, India. She is 32 years old and she will celebrate her 33rd birthday on 28th November 2021. Though she was born in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, she grew up in Chandigarh because her family moved from Himanchal to Chandigarh, after her grandfather opened a school for the underprivileged in Chandigarh.
Her father Mukesh Gautam is a Panjabi film director and her mother Anjali Gautam is a housewife. She has two siblings, a younger sister named Surilie Gautam who is also an actress, and a younger brother named Ojas Gautam.
She is half Pahadi and half Panjabi because her father is Panjabi and her mother is Pahadi. She holds an Indian nationality and came from Indian-Asian ethnic background. Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius and her religious belief is Hinduism.
Regarding her education, Yami did her schooling in Chandigarh. She then completed her graduation in law from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Also, she was pursuing studies in law Honors from PU Student of law, she left her full-time studies to pursue her career in acting.

Bollywood actress Yami Gautam recently got married to Indian writer and director, Aditya Dhar who is best known as the director of the film "Uri: The Surgical Strike". The couple first met each other on the shoot of Uri: The Surgical Strike. Finally, the couple ties a knot on 4th June 2021, after being in a relationship for almost 4 years.
Previously, she was romantically linked with actor Pulkit Samrat. The duo got together during the shooting of their movie Sanam Re. Although both of them never accepted their relationship, it was reported that Pulkit separated from his wife due to his proximity to Yami. Even, Pulkit Samrat's ex-wife, Shweta Rohira accused Yami of breaking her married life.
