Andre's junior career began in 2003 when he joined Salgueiros. FC Porto's 12th August 2013 game against S.C. Beira-Mar was Silva's first professional game. He made his professional debut on 12th August 2013, coming on as a 77th-minute substitute for Toze as the B team won 3-2 away against S.C. Beira-Mar in the Segunda Liga championship.
