An Irish professional wrestler and actress, Rebecca Quin is professionally known as Becky Lynch. She is best recognized for being signed to the popular wrestling promotion, WWE. She was signed by WWE in 2013 and added to the main roster in July 2015. She competed in sports like swimming and basketball as a child and earned a brown belt in submission wrestling. She nearly retired from professional wrestling in 2006 after suffering damage to her eighth cranial nerve. She eventually returned to the industry as a manager in the Shimmer Women Athletes promotion in 2011. In 2018, Becky made her theatrical film debut in the action drama movie, "The Marine 6: Close Quarters", which had wrestling legend Shawn Michaels in the lead role. Barring the broadcast of wrestling matches, Lynch made her first TV show appearance as a stunt performer in "A King's Ransom" episode of the action-drama series, "Vikings" in 2013.

Early Life of Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch opened her eyes for the first time on 30th January 1987 with the real name or full name of Rebecca Quin in Limerick, Ireland whereas she grew up in the Dublin suburb of Baldoyle (hometown). She holds an Irish nationality and Irish-white ethnicity. Analogously, she is from a Christianity religion and her race is white. She happily celebrates her birthday on 30th January of every year and she had celebrated her 33rd birthday as of 2020 though as her birthdate, her star sign is Aquarius. As a professional wrestler, she has not shared much about her parents' details. Quin attended university to study philosophy, history, and politics but said she 'really hated it' and dropped out. She planned to return to college to study health and exercise studies.

  • Becky Lynch commenced her wrestling career using the ring name Rebecca Knox as she teamed with her brother in mixed tag team matches during the early part of her career as well as joined the Canadian promotion SuperGirls Wrestling, an all-female offshoot of Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW) in May 2005 where she defeated Miss Chevius but lost to her in Port Coquitlam a month later.
  • She defeated Allison Danger and established herself as a heel (villain) by faking an injury in her debut match for the promotion though she took a six-year hiatus following her injury, wrestling only on three occasions for Irish promotion Fight Factory Pro Wrestling (FFPW) in 2008, 2012 and 2013.
  • Quin signed a two-year developmental deal with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and moved to Florida to report to their developmental territory NXT in April 2013 as her new ring name was revealed as Becky Lynch on 29th August.

  • Lynch faced Charlotte for the Divas Championship three days later on "SmackDown" and at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event but lost both matches after interference from Ric Flair also she was failed to win the newly created WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania 32.
  • She won a six-pack elimination challenge, last eliminating Carmella, to become the inaugural SmackDown Women's Champion at Backlash on 11th September but lost the SmackDown Women's Championship to Bliss in a table match, ending her reign at 84 days.
  • Lynch participated in a six-pack challenge for the title at WrestleMania 33 in April, which was ultimately won by Naomi.
  • In May, Lynch aligned with Naomi and Charlotte Flair against "The Welcoming Committee" (Natalya, Carmella, and Tamina).
  • She won a fatal five-way match against Flair, Naomi, Tamina, and Carmella to become the Team SmackDown's captain for Survivor Series in October and participated in the first women's Royal Rumble match in January 2018 at the Royal Rumble also participated in the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34, but was eliminated from the match by James.
  • She began a winning streak, defeating different competitors such as Billie Kay, Sonya Deville, Peyton Royce, Mandy Rose, and SmackDown Women's Champion Carmella in a non-title match following the 2018 Money in the Bank event. The wins earned Lynch a title match at SummerSlam, with Charlotte Flair being added to the match as well after she also defeated Carmella in a non-title match. 
  • The feud between the two led to a title match at Hell in a Cell, in which Lynch won the SmackDown Women's Championship for a second time and subsequently retained her title against Flair at both Super Show-Down and Evolution.
  • Lynch led an invasion of the Raw roster on the 12th November episode of Raw, where she suffered a legit concussion and broken nose following a punch from Nia Jax and as she returns from the injury, she defended her title at TLC in December against both Flair and Asuka in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match but she was failed to regain the title from Asuka on 27th January 2019.
  • She was suspended in February for 60 days and replaced with Charlotte Flair as Rousey's WrestleMania opponent by Vince McMahon.
  • In May, at Money in the Bank, Lynch retained the Raw Women's Championship over Evans but lost the SmackDown Women's Championship to Charlotte Flair in the following match due to interference by Evans whereas she successfully retained her title over Evans at the Stomping Grounds pay-per-view.
  • Lynch retained her title after inadvertently hitting the referee with a chair, causing a disqualification loss on 15th September, and continued her feud with Asuka, which directed to a match for the Raw Women's Championship at the Royal Rumble on 26th January 2020, where Lynch retained to end the feud.
  • She feuded with Shayna Baszler, who won an Elimination Chamber match to challenge Lynch for the championship at WrestleMania 36 in February where she defeated Baszler to retain the title on 4th April.
  • On the 11th May episode of "Raw", Lynch announced that she was relinquishing the Raw Women's Championship due to her real-life pregnancy and that the previous night's Women's Money in the Bank ladder match - which was won by Asuka - was actually for the championship.
  • Besides wrestling career, she has performed stunts for a 2013 episode of "Vikings" and was written off WWE television for a few months in November 2017 to film "The Marine 6: Close Quarters".
