She began playing tennis at the age of six.

Tomljanovic was an accomplished junior player, having won the 2009 Australian Open Girls' Doubles title with Christina McHale.

She has won four singles and three doubles titles on the ITF Circuit.

In 2009, she and American player Christina McHale won the Grand Slam girls' doubles finals at the Australian Open.

Tomljanovic made her World TeamTennis debut with the Vegas Rollers during the 2020 WTT season played at The Greenbrier.
